So wash the stickiness from the Scotch tape off your fingers and join us for an hour of fun, laughs and give-aways. The chat starts at 9 PM Eastern/6 PM Pacific.  Author: Victoria Blisse
Title: Phaze in Verse
Blurb: Edited by Kally Jo Surbeck, featuring the authors of Phaze. Poetry has long been a short form method to story telling. Morals, epic tales, even desperate pleas for understanding have been recorded through the ages in verse. And yet, somewhere along the line of our technologically advancing society, it seems those small intimate pleasures are growing lost. Poetry is love, life, and feeling breathed into words. Our shared experiences, emotions, dreams?. Today, we are pleased to present to you a fine collection of poetry. This is not just iambic pentameter or rhymed. It is not only free verse or measured. This is a comprehensive collection of a wide variety of tastes, styles, and passions. Just like our readers. There is a little bit of something for everyone.

Author: Yeva Wiest
Title: Phaze Fantasies: Volume III
Blurb: Six Phaze favorites deliver stories of homoerotic passion and romance.

Behind the Beard by Yeva Wiest : Madly in lust, handsome young counselor Byron Jones hides his secret self. The object of his attraction: Lord Richard Kincade, the Queen’s most sought after barrister. With the help of two conniving old codgers, a mischievous miss, and some six-legged buggers, Byron “wigs out” to capture the heart of Lord Kincade.

This story proves the belle of the ball just might be a beau, but everything depends on who is really hiding behind the beard.

Author: Nicole Gestalt
Title: Summer of Fire
Blurb: The Summer of Fire, as the media calls it, brings steamy weather and the threat of an arsonist. Officer Helen is charged with ending the madness, yet her passion for a widowed firefighter continues to flame.

Author: Christine London
Title: Sunninghill Snow
Blurb: In charge of obtaining celebrity bookings and future programming for BBC 3’s Good Morning Show, Bryce is living a lightening-paced life as the man to know in morning TV and one of London’s most eligible bachelors. Having long been relegated to the occasional wistful smile or cringe of regret, Kay Macara was the last person he’d expected to run into at his best mate’s country cottage. One snowbound weekend, a recalcitrant cat, a wild sled adventure and time stranded together are a recipe for war…or passion. The problem is that neither one can seem to see what’s right in front of them: they never stopped loving each other.

Author: Mychael Black
Title: Dark Needs
Blurb: Two bestselling novellas by two Phaze favorites, together in one volume!

The Power of Two: As a vampire Master, Dominic has been eyeing his old friend, Griffith for quite a while. But being a Master in his own right, Grif resisted the notion of Dominic controlling him in any way. With startling skill, Dominic sets out to change that refusal. He has his own deep interest in him, born of watching Grif’s submission at the hand of another Master. Even though Dominic can’t help but toy with his old friend, in truth, he wants him only as an equal. But how to convince Grif without letting his guard down is Dominic’s biggest issue.

Aware of some of that interest but not the reason for it, Grif has his own secret. His trust had been violated by his own vampire Master, and since that night, he’s refused to let another dominate him. And he’d swore to himself that no one ever would.

Dominion: Still dealing with the aftershocks of his ordeal at Tristan’s hands, Griffith St. James is fighting the urge to withdraw completely. He feels guilty for what happened, less than a man. The nightmares of his torture at his former master’s hands are worse than ever. Dominic Marcellus struggles to draw Grif back into their life before Tristan, but fate has other plans.

Finding himself back in the clutches of his abusive former master, Grif is terrified and can only pray Dominic comes for him in time.

How Romantic is That?

We’re pretty stoked about this song by Lori McKenna, How Romantic is That?. Ms McKenna is an awesome romantic storyteller,  she does it with music. Here’s a little bit about her:

Lori McKenna is a mother of five from Stoughton, Mass. (pop. 27,000), about 20 miles outside Boston. There, she lives quietly—well, as quietly as a house with five children can get—with her husband of 18 years, Gene, a plumber for the local gas company. For years she drove her kids to school in a 1999 Ford Windstar minivan with 150,000 miles on it. It is fitting Lori entitled her Warner Brothers debut album Unglamorous.

Lori McKenna is also an acclaimed singer-songwriter who was thrust into the limelight last year when superstar Faith Hill included three of McKenna’s songs on her Number One album Fireflies, including Hill’s poignant single “Stealing Kisses.” Hill (herself a wife and mother of three) heard in McKenna’s work what a steadily growing audience has been hearing since her 1998 debut, Paper Wings & Halo: an intimate understanding and honest expression of the realities of domestic life.

While Lori has several fine songs on her latest album Unglamourous, How Romantic is That? is available only as a video from Don Was’  Channel and YouTube.  We’ve made it easy for you to check it out here at Realms of Love.

JILTED Reviewed at Coffee Time Romance

May 20th, 2007 by misterseo

Coffee Time Romance reviewed Dara Edmondson’s Jilted and gave it 5 Coffee Cups!

Congratulations Dara and Aspen Mountain Press

This is an amazing story of love, life, losses, and gains that all of us face in our lives. Sometimes we do not make wise choices and have to live with the consequences. Jilted will touch every emotion you have. I found myself needing the tissues more than once. This is a poignant story of two women, each strong in her own way, but vulnerable at the same time. Rich secondary characters round out this story beautifully. This is wonderful story from Ms.Edmondson.

Scarred Reviewed at Romance Junkies

April 3rd, 2007 by misterseo

Check out the review of Scarred by JM Snyder over at Romance Junkies.

Here’s that review:

Daelyn is the only protector his sister has. In a futuristic time, the world in which Daelyn lives is controlled by regulators who patrol the streets with a heavy hand. Oftentimes, they are sadistic, hateful men who make everyone they come in contact with bow down to their wishes. One such regulator, McBane, has made Daelyn his own personal property and Daelyn has the scars, both physical and emotional, to prove it. When a new group of regulators enters his diner, Dae foresees additional cruelty just waiting around the corner. Only, that doesn’t happen. Coby, the leader of this band of regulators, doesn’t have the look of brutality; he has the look of forever.

Daelyn’s world and existence almost broke my heart. Knowing nothing but cruelty since the death of his father, Dae was so afraid to reach for what Coby offered. Like Dae, though I resigned myself to believing that Coby had to possess some of the same malicious qualities of the other regulators, I still hoped he would be different and would somehow treasure the resilient man that was Daelyn. I was not disappointed. Coby’s patience, kindness, and protection towards Dae was just enlighteningly beautiful.

SCARRED is a homoerotic love story, and while I adore reading this genre, some may not. I can honestly say, however, that the love between Coby and Daelyn is poignant and steamy, yet almost surprisingly innocent. It was a joy to watch Daelyn flourish under Coby’s unexpected care. I happily recommend this story to those who enjoy homoerotic love.  J. M. Snyder has a new fan!

Refugee by Lucynda Storey, 5 Stars from JERR

A romance writer close to my heart, Lucynda Storey, is very excited to have received her highest rated review yet from Just Erotic Romance Reviews . Julie Esparza had to reach for her toys while reading Refugee, the BDSM romance from Loose-Id.

The review is included below, in its entirety, because it is not posted on line yet. It was posted only on the JERR Yahoo group.

Congratulations Lucynda. Reader beware: better stock up on batteries (and the tissues) before buying this one.

Review of Refugee by Lucynda Storey from Just Erotic Romance Reviews

Title: Irresistible 2: Refugee
Author: Lucynda Storey

ISBN: 978-1-59632-322-3

Jack Smith answers the call of his buddy, Case Roberts, and finds himself dealing with an emotionally fragile victim of vicious abuse. She has just been sprung from the dungeon of one of the cities most vicious sexual predators. Amanda Byrne is cursing herself for giving her mind body and soul to Victor Wakefield. Jack can’t stand the lost face on the angel in front of him. He refuses to act on his desires knowing he is a Dominant and the last thing that Amanda needs at this time. Even though she knows that she might have a sexual relationship in the future, Amanda can’t imagine finding another man she could possibly trust with the intimacy of her submission. Jack attracts her but he is a cop and deserves a decent woman and she knows she just isn’t good enough for him.

Heart wrenching, yet beautiful, Refugee by Lucynda Storey is book 2 of the Irresistible series. A continuation of Simply Irresistible, it covers the rebirth of a submissive as she struggles with her destroyed life. Amanda is a strong woman who slowly had her will stolen from her in the guise of love and submission. Intelligent, she is scared to have to pick up her life but she refuses to let life be over. Jack is a complex man dealing with his own demons and a temper that leads him into all sorts of trouble. His conviction that Amanda deserves better than him is passionate. Both hide secrets but they build a tentative relationship. Fortunately, they find neither can resist their passion. The sex is tender, hot and beautiful. The plot merges well with the previous story, but it is also able to stand alone. There is discussion of some evil acts done (before Amanda is rescued from Victor) but the story involves more of the emotional side of BDSM. This is a sweet relationship with tantalizing scenes that had me smelling the roses. Ms. Storey has another winner with Refugee.

Kate Douglas on The Sacred Glade

August 11th, 2006 by misterseo

Here’s what Kate Douglas had to say about The Sacred Glade by Diane Charles Linford:

“Imagine an alternate reality, an alternate you living in a separate
dimension, following a different branch on the road of life. Imagine
finding that other side of yourself and trading places-a temporary
trade just to see what might have been had you taken a different path
along one of life’s many forks in the road. Diane Tanner not only
meets her doppelganger, she trades places, moving almost seamlessly
into Diane Graham’s life. The Sacred Glade is a fascinating look
at “what might have been” had a different path been taken. Tightly
written with compelling characters and an overlying sense of horror
that all is not what it seems, Dianne Charles Linford has taken one
of life’s paths and given it a startling, eerie, yet strangely
believable twist. This one is definitely a page turner.”

Kate Douglas

Wow! Congratulations D.C. You can pick up The Sacred Glade at Aspen Mountain Press.
